Wear your watch on your RIGHT wrist to help your heart

[p.s. I fixed this to reflect some copyright laws I wasn't aware of]

After that post on how metals on your body can do weird things to you, I stopped wearing my watch and have forgotten to put it on. What's odd is that I feel different. Not better/worse, but different. But I always instinctively take the watch off when I meditate, etc. I'm very sensitive to energy. So check this out:

If you’re right-handed, you probably wear a watch on your left wrist. You might consider switching, however, when you consider the impact that your watch’s battery can have on the health of your heart meridian and, ultimately, on your heart.

...Wearing any piece of jewelry for long can bring on fatigue or have the opposite effect and make the wearer over-energized. Some people are so sensitive that they have to remove earrings or other jewelry after only a few minutes, because the metal charges with their energy and begins to affect the way they feel.

This is good to know. I think it’s also good to point out what types of fats he should be taking in because low-fats diets are unhealthy are well. That’s probably a whole ‘nother post though!

Weird. I'm going to look into this more. Metals and batteries! Somewhat related, one "weird" thing that I do, or don't do, is use a baby monitor. My friends think I am insane, and I have no reason to think otherwise except that intuitively, it seems unhealthy to put an electric or battery operated device so close to my baby for so many hours, every day. So we risk waking the sweet pea by periodically checking on her while we are up. And, oh yeah, we share a room still. Another reason people think we are nuts! Well, it works for us.

Sorry about that! Actually, I didn't know. I mostly write in print and when I was professionally writing the blog they had the editors take care of all that. Thanks for the education and thanks for the great article!

Wow, I never thought about the baby monitor thing. Scary.

There are some nice ideas for health on this blog, but I don't think this is one of them.

Where's the evidence behind this story? The studies that show wearing a watch on your right wrist helps your heart? There's simply no proof here -- just assertions.

And baby monitors... please -- it's just radio waves. We've had them going through our babies' bodies for over a century and again there are no serious peer-reviewed studies suggesting that, say, FM radios and DECT phones should be banned on health grounds. A baby monitor is no different.
