Cloned Food: Need you know more?

Got this picture from Dave at The Good Human Blog.

Unless you've been at the North Pole for the last week, you've heard about the FDA's decree that cloned food seems, well, okay to eat, even in the absence of the most half-assed safety studies (to say nothing of a longitudinal one).

Here's all you need to know, so you can sleep well at night knowing the folks in government care about you and what goes into your bod:

"[Milk and meat from cloned animals is] as safe to eat as the food we eat every day."

-- Stephen Sundlof, FDA Chief of vetinary medicine, via telephone interview with reporters.
p.s. stay tuned: did you know conventional honey has antibiotics in it?

Honestly, I think I am turning into a hard core food activist. It amazes me how the government and the mainstream medical community are willing to turn a blind eye to the state of American nutritional habits and regulations - and even promote our unhealthy ways. When my husband saw this headline, he said, Ali, you are going to go crazy over this one.

Is it too late for me to become a farmer?

No, I didn't know that conventional honey has antibiotics in it. What? How? I mean, how do they do that to bees!
